Health insurance and coverage
At Fysio Roode, we believe it's important that you know exactly what to expect. We have contracts with virtually all healthcare insurers in the Netherlands. The reimbursement for physiotherapy depends on your health insurance and the type of treatment. On this page, you can read how reimbursements work and what this means for you.

Physical therapy and manual therapy are usually reimbursed from supplementary insurance. The amount of reimbursement depends on the plan you have taken out with your health insurer. You can find this information in your policy conditions.
When you have insurance, we submit treatments directly to your health insurance provider. If you have no or insufficient supplementary coverage, you will receive an invoice from us. Missed or canceled appointments (less than 24 hours in advance) will also be charged to you.

In several situations, physiotherapy treatments are reimbursed by basic health insurance:
Children up to 18 years old: the first 18 treatments are covered by basic insurance. After that, supplementary insurance is required.
After surgery: You may be eligible for long-term authorization. The first treatment must take place within 3 months of the surgery. The first 20 treatments will be reimbursed from supplementary insurance (or paid out-of-pocket if coverage is insufficient). After that, the treatments will be fully reimbursed from the basic insurance.
Chronic conditions: for conditions listed as chronic, the same rules apply as after surgery: the first 20 treatments are covered by supplementary insurance, after which they are reimbursed by basic insurance.

Home/facility treatment allowance

If your insurance does not cover (part of) the treatment, you will receive an invoice from us for this. You can find the current rates on our rates page.
Please note: If you wish to cancel your appointment, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. Treatments that are not canceled within 24 hours of notice will be charged.
