Toddlers and Movement: Toddler Gymnastics within Physiotherapy

Parent-and-child gym

Movement is important for the development of young children. By climbing, jumping, rolling, and exploring, toddlers learn more and more about their bodies.

At Fysio Roode in Berghem, we offer toddler gym classes in small groups. In a playful way, children work on their motor development, with fun and movement at the core.

Do you notice your toddler could use some extra challenge?

Every child develops at their own pace. Some children naturally move a lot, while others need a bit more time or confidence.

Parent-and-child gym may be suitable when you notice that your child:

  • en enjoys moving and new challenges
  • what's uncertain in movement
  • has difficulty climbing, jumping, or balancing
  • further develop motor skills
  • enjoys playing and discovering together

There is no pressure to perform. Children primarily learn through experience and play.

What do we do during toddler gym?

During classes, we practice various forms of movement in a playful way. Think of:

  • Climbing and scrambling
  • Jump and land
  • Roll and crawl
  • Throw and catch
  • Balance exercises
  • moving to music and in game form

Because of the small groups, there is a lot of personal attention and we can effectively cater to what each child needs.

How we help you

Small groups, much attention

We provide a safe and secure environment where children can be themselves and participate at their own level.

Learning through play

Toddlers develop their motor skills best when movement is fun. That's why our lessons are active, varied, and entirely focused on learning through play.
